Meet Mallory

Owner of Happy Little Artists | Creator of The Hidden Little Gem Blog

Hii everyone,

I’m so glad you’re here 🤍

If we haven’t met yet, I’m Mallory — the heart behind Happy Little Artists and the creator of The Hidden Little Gem Blog. I’ve been married to my husband Matthew for 9 years, and together we’re raising our three little ones: Sophia (7), Henry (5), and Chloe (3).

I’ve been a stay-at-home mom since 2017, and motherhood has changed me in every possible way. It’s stretched me, humbled me, and shown me just how deeply we all need connection. I remember constantly searching for things to do — ways to get out of the house, keep my kids engaged, and feel less alone in the day-to-day.

So I created what I couldn’t find.

What started as a simple event calendar quickly became something more — a way to help other families discover local activities and connect with their community.

The drive behind all of this was built during one of the hardest seasons of my life. When my son was born with an encephalocele and faced multiple brain surgeries, our world felt heavy, uncertain, and overwhelming. In the middle of that, I needed something light to hold onto. Creating, sharing, and building something positive became my outlet — and, in many ways, it helped carry me through.

That’s how The Hidden Little Gem Blog was born.

It became a space where I could share real life — the good, the hard, and everything in between — along with local events, simple activities, and meaningful finds to help make life with kids feel a little easier and a little more joyful. Over time, it grew into something even deeper: a place where moms could feel seen, supported, and understood.

From that foundation, Happy Little Artists came to life.

What began as a love for hands-on play has grown into a space where families can truly connect — through creativity, community, and shared experiences. From classes and events to sensory play and celebrations, everything I create is rooted in one purpose: bringing more joy, connection, and magic into everyday life with kids.

And truly, I’m so grateful you’re here. 🤍

Love & Hugs,

— Mallory
